Moon child
Hello guys, this is the first time I'm posting here and I'm really excited to share this sketch.
So, I made this sketch with charcoal on an A4 size ivory sheet, and this was actually one of my favorite sketches. This sketch was inspired by the work of a really good artist named Josh Hernandez his youtube channel is @madcharcoal. You can check out his work, it's truly inspiring.
I made this sketch when I was at my lowest, I mean I lost so much Important things at that Time and definitely, I was going through a lot but at that time I couldn't tell anyone about this. I'm not really good at this stuff -sharing and discussing my problems. But it's cool now. Anyway, at that time I strongly felt that we all have 2 sides whether we are having a good time or facing hard times and one of them is the side we show to everyone but the other one is only what we know. And it doesn't matter whether you are alone or with someone. That side is always there, it's not something you feel whenever you are alone.
At that time, no matter what people say and do, you just pretend to be present there but in your mind, you are facing different storms. This sketch means a lot for one another reason, and that reason is the name of this sketch. I named this sketch moon child because at that time I used to stay up all night and watch the moon and stars all night. And somehow I feel better, I don't know why the moon is always mentioned in poetry. But I do have an understanding now that maybe all those who have faced tough times in their life also have faced sleepless nights and at that time maybe the moon is the only thing to lean onto. Somehow it gives us hope.
I hope you like it and I’ll keep sharing new stuff. Thank you.♡
